Musketr is a product of Alcateia Digital Studios. This Policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit musketr.net, create an account, connect a social account, or use Musketr to publish content (together, the “Service”).

1. Information we handle

Information you provide

When you create an account, we handle your email address and a securely stored password credential. When you publish, we handle the video file, caption, scheduling choice, and the destinations you select.

Connected social accounts

When you connect Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube, we receive the account identifier and display name made available by that platform, plus the authorization tokens needed to publish or refresh that authorization. Access and refresh tokens are encrypted in our database.

Service information

We keep information needed to operate and protect the Service, such as publishing status, timestamps, links or IDs returned by a platform, error information, and standard technical records generated when the Service is used.

YouTube API Services

Musketr uses YouTube API Services. When you connect YouTube, we access and store your authorized channel ID and channel display name to identify the destination for your uploads. We store encrypted access and refresh tokens, the permissions granted, and token expiry information to maintain the connection. When you request an upload, we send your selected video, title, description, and privacy setting to that channel, and store the video ID, URL, publishing result, and any upload errors returned by YouTube.

We use these data only to identify your channel, carry out the uploads you initiate or schedule, and show or troubleshoot their results. We share your upload and its settings with Google/YouTube, and process stored data through our application hosting and storage providers described below. We do not sell YouTube data, share it with advertising services, or use it to train AI models.

Google handles information under the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke Musketr’s access at any time through Google’s security settings. You can also choose Disconnect on Musketr’s Connections page to revoke the Google authorization and delete the associated YouTube data stored by Musketr. This does not delete videos already stored on YouTube; manage those directly on YouTube.

To request deletion of stored YouTube data or ask a privacy question, email legal@musketr.net. We delete authorized data as soon as possible and within seven calendar days of a deletion request or disconnection. We check authorization daily and delete associated data when Google reports that authorization is no longer valid. Channel information is refreshed daily; stored upload response IDs and URLs are removed after 29 days. If authorization cannot be reconfirmed, we remove the associated stored data within 30 days. These YouTube-specific deletion rules take priority over the general retention rules below.

2. How we use information

We use this information to create and secure your account; store and process the video you ask us to publish; connect and maintain your chosen social accounts; send your content to those accounts; show publishing results; troubleshoot failures; and operate, maintain, and improve Musketr.

We do not use your videos or captions to train public generative AI models. We do not sell your personal information.

3. When we share information

We share information only as needed to provide the Service:

  • Selected platforms. When you choose a destination, we send the video, caption, and publishing instructions needed by Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube. Those services handle the content under their own terms and privacy policies.
  • Infrastructure providers. We use service providers to host the application and store video files. Production video storage uses DigitalOcean Spaces, an S3-compatible object-storage service.
  • Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information where required by law or where reasonably necessary to protect Musketr, its users, or others.
  • Business changes. If Musketr is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or transfer of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

To enable Instagram and TikTok to retrieve a video for publishing, Musketr may provide that platform with a time-limited or otherwise restricted video URL. We do not make your videos generally searchable or public through Musketr.

4. Your choices and rights

You can disconnect a social account at any time from the Connections page. Disconnecting stops future publishing through Musketr; it does not remove content already published on a platform.

For Instagram, Disconnect removes stored authorization credentials. To delete the associated Instagram connection and publishing records, open Account settings → Delete Instagram data; this is available even with an active subscription. Uploaded videos and Reels already on Instagram remain unless you delete them separately. If remote authorization could not be revoked, remove Musketr through Instagram’s Apps and websites settings. See our data deletion instructions.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, subject to legal and operational limits. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights. To make a request, contact us using the details below.

5. Security and retention

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information. This includes encryption for social-account access and refresh tokens and HTTPS in production. No system can guarantee complete security.

We retain account, post, and publishing information for as long as your account remains active and as otherwise needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, or protect against abuse. We may retain limited records for those purposes after an account is closed.

6. Cookies

Musketr uses essential cookies and similar browser storage needed to keep you signed in and protect the Service. We do not use advertising cookies.

7. Children

Musketr is not intended for children under 13, or the minimum age required to use online services in your location. Do not create an account for a child who does not meet that minimum age.

8. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy as Musketr changes or as required by law. If a change is material, we will provide appropriate notice before it takes effect.
